During Mr. Wood's absence on leave, extra

work was thrown upon Messrs. Julyan and Souza, who were in charge of the correspondence and accounting branches respective- -17. Mr. Julyan had to work overtime equivalent to about 3 months' ordinary office work and Kr. Souze about 1/3 months.

Calculated at their ordinary rates of

salary, their pay for overtime would be:-

Mr. Julyan 3 months at £21.5.0

equals £63.15

Mr. Souza 13 months at $165.
